In the heart of Coolidge, Georgia, stands the historic Sam Evans house, a stately reminder of a bygone era. Built in 1915 by the skilled hands of Sam Evans himself, the house was a testament to his craftsmanship and dedication to his family. Sam Evans, a carpenter and a visionary by heart, poured his soul into every plank and beam of the house, ensuring it would stand the test of time. The house has the original China dishes and hand-made quilts used by Callye, and other items of hers. She hand-made each quilt in the collection. It also has the most extensive Thomas County bottle collection in existence.
