MPF Conservation specializes in antique furniture restoration, furniture repair, antique upholstered furniture, traditional woodworking, textiles and interior architectural elements from their studio in Portland Oregon. We mix our own historic finishes (shellac varnish and pigmented paints) from scratch. Our specialty is historic upholstery. Sofas, chairs, rockers, rocking chairs, loveseats, cabinets, tables, buffets, wardrobes, chests, beds, washstands, teacarts, desks, statues, billows, walls, canopies, tapestries, wall hangings, needlepoint, petitpoint, banners and more. Mitchell is a member of the AIC (American Institute of Conservation) and the Preservation Artisans Guild.
