Lewis Trimble grew up immersed in art and antique with grandparents and parents who were art and antique dealers it was impossible to stray far from the path. Known for his discerning eye and knowledge of craft and materials, he curated his shop over the period of 20 years. After college he worked in New York City and gained first hand experience working with incredibly high end arts and decorative arts all while studying what shops in the city and the Hamptons were selling. After September 11th he moved back to Virginia with the idea of bringing what he saw in New York City and establishing an antique shop in Virginia that had no other comparison. He blazed the trail selling mid century and 20th century design before anyone else.
